Holiday Cottage Rental @ Appledore, Devon
I run two holiday cottage rental businesses with their own websites to take bookings. I also participate actively in two local charities including website management. We have experienced long periods of no internet from a poor service provider, and even when the service is fully functioning, being located in rural area at maximum distance from exchange, our guaranteed speed is only half a megabyte or worse during busy periods. My problem isn’t unique either, with neighbours who also run businesses, experiencing similar issues.
‘Super fast broadband’ is absolutely crucial for enhancing our daily business activities, particularly in regards to tourism; helping to increase awareness of Devon’s attractions and providing visitors the ability to maintain efficient contact with the outside world.
